Why am I getting a new credit card?
Las Colinas FCU is upgrading to a new credit card processor. We are moving from MasterCard to Visa.
When am I getting my new card?
Your new VISA credit card will be mailed out at the end of December. You should receive your new credit card in early January.
Will my card have the same card number?
No, you will have a brand-new credit card number. Since we have changed card processors (MasterCard to Visa), current credit card numbers cannot be transferred over.
When will my current MasterCard credit card stop working?
Your existing MasterCard credit card will be cancelled on January 23, 2023. Any transactions attempted on/after this date will be automatically denied.
When can I use my new Visa credit card?
January 23, 2023. However, you will be able to activate and set your PIN as soon as you receive your card in the mail.
How do I activate and set a PIN for my new Visa credit card?
You will need to activate your card and set a PIN via the automated phone system 1-866-809-2677. An activation sticker will be on the card and will provide instructions as well.
Will my UChoose reward points be transferred over to my new Visa credit card?
Unfortunately, UChoose rewards will not be transferring to your new Visa credit card. If you have any existing UChoose reward points, we encourage you to use them prior to January 23, 2023.
What will my due date and cycle date be?
Your credit card account will resume back to the natural cycle date of the twenty-second (22nd) day of each month with a payment due on the eighteenth (18th) day of the following month
Will there be any changes to my interest rate or fees?
No. Your interest rate and any fee amounts for your new Visa credit card will remain the same as your current credit card.
How can I make payments to my new Visa credit card?
You will be able to pay via:
In branch
LCFCU Mobile App or online banking via internal and external account transfers
Automatic payments from your LCFCU account.
MessagePay
Will I be able to use my card on Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay?
Yes. You will be able to add your new Visa credit card to your digital wallet.
How do I view my Visa credit card history?
You will be able to view your new Visa credit card history through your LCFCU mobile app or online banking login. Now all your LCFCU shares and loans will be in one log in!
How do I file a dispute on my Visa credit card?

What do I do about the recurring transactions I have set up on my current Mastercard credit card?
If you have any recurring payments set up with your current MasterCard credit card, you will need to notify any and all merchants of the change in your credit card number. Examples of recurring payments include: utility payments, toll tag fees, subscriptions, etc.
