That’s why we’re thrilled to offer our Reality Fairs – interactive financial literacy sessions designed specifically for youth. Tailored for students from 5th grade to high school seniors, our fairs provide a hands-on approach to understanding money management in a real-world context.

What we offer

Our Reality Fairs are immersive experiences that guide students through the intricacies of managing a monthly budget based on a unique salary and profession. We bring the setup to you – interactive boards detailing monthly expenses like housing, food, insurance, savings, transportation, and utilities. Students engage with 10 different stations, piecing together their monthly budget while encountering real-life ‘curveballs’ – unexpected financial windfalls or challenges – mirroring the unpredictability of real life.

How it works

Partnering with Las Colinas FCU is hassle-free. We only need permission from your school to bring our teaching materials and set up the event. Our dedicated Las Colinas FCU employees volunteer to conduct and guide the event, and we warmly welcome parent and teacher volunteers to join the educational journey. Our events are flexible and can be tailored to fit your schedule, typically ranging from 1 to 2 hours based on student numbers.
